In our last post we showed the growing inequality in Toronto and its relation to crime. However, to be fair it must be said that Canada is one of the most peaceful countries of the world.
This may be surprising for many given the high proportion of immigrants, which are generally believed to cause less peacefulness, especially in Europe. It is also noteworthy that while Canada ranks number 4 of 158 countries worldwide, its neighbor USA is number 88, similar to countries like China (89th) or Brazil (83th).
