Why?
There is nothing wrong about capitalism per se, but there is a dramatic shift away from a form of capitalism that benefited almost everyone to a form that only benefits a small handful. Something went clearly wrong here.
When corporations profit, not by providing better products, but by misleading the customer, something is wrong. When basic rights like health insurance or education are not provided to everyone, even in rich countries, something is wrong. When governments do not create a legal framework that prevents exploitations of customers, yes, something is very wrong. And finally, if all this leads to a global economic downturn which at the end the very same have to bailout who suffered from it in first place, then something is indeed very rotten.
Thats why we decided to put up this little blog to show the forms of rotten capitalism we encounter and hope to create some awareness. We believe in the power of information and free markets. If customers and citizen start to care again, then corporations and governments will have to adapt.
If you don’t buy the rotten apples, they won’t try to sell them any more!
